ICT Committee

  • ICT committee: it is imperative that all government institutions establish an ICT
     committee.
  • Role of the ICT Committee: the primary role of the IT committee is to define the institution’s ICT Strategy and ensure all ICT projects within respective entity department and agencies are well coordinated and aligned to the overall strategic goals of the institution.
  • Members of the ICT committee: can vary from entity to entity but all ICT committees should at least be comprised of: Head of ICT, Head planning, and Head of Finance and the chair shall be elected among the team.
  • Operations of the ICT committee: this committee should meet at least by
     quarterly; the institution’s ICT committee is expected to ensure ICT is leveraged to improve business process within the institutions and better services to constituents. This committee should closely collaborate with the sector ICT technical working group, and should report to the Chief Budget Manager of the institution.
