Classifications of Electronic Signature

Simple e-signatures: provide little or no authentication at minimal or no cost. 

 Advanced e-signatures: are linked to specific signers but can still be vulnerable to fraud. 

 Qualified e-signatures: include third-party authentication and offer strong security making them legally binding. 

 

 Digital signature (Qualified e-signatures): an electronic signature consisting of a transformation of an electronic record using an asymmetric cryptosystem.
